Carrie Emblem

Carrie Emblem (b.1995 Unionville, Ontario) is a Fine Arts Student completing her
Certificate in Business at Queen’s University. Her interest in art sparked from a
young age and her family has always supported her pursuit in it. In the past, Carrie
has worked for the Publications sector of Studio Q, a student run media service on
campus, as a layout designer. She was also a senior illustrator for the Queen’s
Business Review for two years and now serves as the Creative Director. Working
with oil paint as her primary medium, Carrie’s artwork explores themes of
navigation and familiarity of space. It speaks to her curiousity about how we
observe and interact with landscapes. Carrie has exhibited artwork at the Union
gallery as well as in The Undergraduate Review Magazine (2017).
